My name is Maya and I'm an artist based in the Washington, DC area. I primarily work in ink and mixed media, creating art that explores home and nature. As a hopeless romantic raised by hopeless romantics I am extremely sentimental and enjoy making sentimental art. Life is hard and it is so easy to get wrapped up in a negative mindset regarding the state of the world that we live in. I feel that art can be magic because it can change a mindset: make you stop, make you feel, make you love, make you remember what is important to you. My greatest goal is to be able to share that magic with others.
